For two weeks from 12 November 2012, HMRC will be running adverts on billboards, bus shelters and telephone boxes, all in an effort to encourage tax cheats to come forward and declare any undisclosed income.HMRC has set up a website to support those people who wish to come forward, which can be found here.
Estimates of up to £21 billion have been put on the tax clawed back as a result of HMRC’s assault on undeclared income through its many campaigns, for example, London lawyers, online sellers and the construction industry.
