From 1 October 2015, alcohol wholesalers will be required to register for Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS). This is the government's attempt to tackle alcohol fraud.
Wholesalers must register and retailers must ensure that they purchase from a AWRS registered wholesaler. Please click here for further details from HMRC.
