A 'Budget for a Resilient Economy'

Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne delivered a ‘Budget for a Resilient Economy’ on 19 March 2014.
Measures included a rise in the personal allowance from £10,000 to £10,500; the simplification of ISAs under the New ISA with the overall annual subscription limit increased to £15,000 from 1 July 2014; increased pension flexibility; and a doubling of annual investment allowance for businesses to £500,000 a year. In addition, those who have signed up to disclosed tax avoidance schemes will, like everyone else, have to pay their taxes up front.
